KAVON

Deeply rooted lifelong resident of East Point, Georgia.

KaVon Arnold is a dynamic communications and public affairs leader, community advocate, and a deeply rooted lifelong resident of East Point, Georgia. A proud product of the city’s public schools, she attended Mt. Olive Elementary School and graduated from Tri-Cities High School where her foundation in leadership, service, and community began. Her commitment to public education is personal, with her siblings and nieces also attending East Point public schools and graduating from Tri-Cities High School.


With a professional background spanning government, public safety, and community relations, KaVon most recently served as Deputy Chief of Staff for the City of South Fulton Police Department, where she led strategic communications, public affairs, and community engagement efforts. In this role, she worked closely with law enforcement, elected officials, and residents to build trust, transparency, and meaningful dialogue across the city.


Prior to that, she served as Senior Communications Manager for the City of South Fulton’s Mayor and City Council, helping to shape strategic messaging, strengthen public engagement, and support citywide initiatives. She also held key communications roles within the Fulton County and Clayton County District Attorney’s Offices. In those roles, she played a key part in media relations, public information campaigns, and community outreach efforts that connected residents with critical resources and services.


In addition to her public service, KaVon is an entrepreneur and owner of TG Enterprises, where she has spent over a decade building brands, producing events, and creating opportunities that support local businesses, community engagement, and economic empowerment.


Her commitment to leadership and service extends deeply into the community. KaVon served as President of the Tri-Cities High School Alumni Association, completing her term in July 2025. She also previously served as Chair of the City of East Point Ethics Board, completing her term on December 31, 2025. She continues her service at Tri-Cities High School as the parent-elected member of the School Governance Council, where she has served for four years. Her daughter serves alongside her as the student representative and has served for two years, with the 2025–2026 school year marking their final year together. She also serves on the Fulton County Schools Superintendent’s Parent Advisory Council, with the 2025–2026 school year marking her final year of service. She has also held leadership roles as Board Vice President of AREA and as a board member for community-based initiatives supporting South Fulton.


KaVon is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. She is also a charter member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated – Alpha Beta Omega Chapter, serving the City of South Fulton, Georgia, continuing a legacy of service and community leadership. She is also a member of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women and a recipient of the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award under the Biden-Harris Administration in recognition of her sustained commitment to service and impact.


A proud Jaguar, KaVon attended Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where an experience that helped shape her leadership, service, and sense of purpose. She is also a certified member of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Law Enforcement Executive Development Association (FBI-LEEDA), further strengthening her leadership in public safety and governance.


She is also a proud mother to one remarkable daughter, Kalee, a Tri-Cities High School senior and Class of 2026 Valedictorian with a 4.3 GPA, student leader, and community servant. Kalee serves as Student Government Association President and has held multiple leadership roles, including Class President and School Governance Council Student Representative. She is a State of Georgia Merit Scholar, a selected member of the Generation Good Trouble Youth Advisory Council, an initiative of United States Congresswoman Nikema Williams, and founder of the Big Dawg–Little Dawg Mentorship Program.


Kalee’s journey reflects the strength of public education, dedicated educators, and engaged communities. It fuels KaVon’s commitment to ensuring every student has access to the same opportunities to learn, lead, and thrive.


Now, as a candidate for Georgia State House District 62, KaVon Arnold is committed to putting people first. She is focused on strengthening public education, supporting seniors with affordable, quality healthcare, expanding workforce development opportunities, and building safer, more stable communities. Her goal is to create a future where every resident is supported, every family has opportunity, and every community can thrive.
