KAVON ARNOLD - STATE HOUSE DISTRICT 62

My vision for Georgia House District 62 is rooted in service, community, and continued progress.

 

I am proud to be a legacy resident of this community. East Point helped shape who I am today. I attended public schools here, and so did my siblings and several of my nieces. Our family’s connection to this community runs deep, and the values instilled through our schools, churches, and neighborhoods continue to guide my commitment to service.

 

Today, I have the privilege of watching the next generation grow and lead in the same community that raised me. My only child, my daughter, is a graduating senior in the Class of 2026, maintaining a 4.0 grade point average as the Valedictorian of her class. She currently serves as Student Government Association President and Student Representative on the School Governance Council, and she previously served as a Page in the Georgia House of Representatives for this very district under Representative Miller and former Representative Boddie.

 

Her journey reflects what is possible when students are supported by strong public schools, dedicated educators, and communities that believe in their success. Public education helped shape my family’s story, and I have seen firsthand how investing in our schools empowers young people to lead, serve, and achieve.

 

That is why I believe our public schools must remain fully supported and fully funded. When we invest in education, we invest in the future of our communities.

Our seniors built the communities we are blessed to live in today. They deserve access to affordable, quality healthcare that allows them to live with dignity and security.

Education is one of the most powerful investments we can make in our future. When schools have the resources they need and educators are supported, students are empowered to reach their highest potential.

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT

By continuing to invest in workforce development and skilled trades; such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and other technical careers, we can create pathways to stable employment and long-term opportunity.

District 62 has a proud history and a bright future. My goal is to work collaboratively with residents, educators, community leaders, and local organizations to continue building strong opportunities for everyone who calls this district home.
